It’s the time of year in which it’s hard for me to keep up with my self-imposed busy schedule. However, it’s also the time of year that feels the most magical.
This past Thanksgiving we were off to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade from the vantage point of Stella 34 Trattoria. While we almost missed the show (we had some issues getting there), we eventually made it and had a great time.
Thank you to the Patina Group for a wonderful brunch and dinner at Stella 34 Trattoria and Lincoln Ristorante, respectively. The food was amazing and made for a memorable Thanksgiving!



Following Thanksgiving, we went Black Friday shopping at Rockefeller Center. It was a struggle to walk down the sidewalk, and it’s a miracle no one got lost, but we had fun and we got some great, albeit pricey, items.


I had the pleasure of eating at Zen Ramen & Sushi twice (soooo good!). My two older daughters and I saw Heathers—great show, but not for the faint of heart.
La MOMA Deliciosa
We all went to the Museum of Modern Art Saturday.

Zuri and I lunched at the MOMA cafe. We enjoyed the cafe’s salad dressing so much we decided to make our own version and call it—you guessed it—La MOMA Delciosa.
The (Kind of) Recipe

We blended all our ingredients in the Vitamix. I used mostly olive oil, because I didn’t want the vinegar to be too strong. The consistency turned out to be creamy, almost as if we used an avocado.

In the end, it wasn’t quite as deliciosa as we had hoped, but it was still pretty darn good.
If I make this again, I think I’d use some Lakewood aloe juice to make it less oily. If you don’t mind trace amounts of alcohol, you might consider some red wine vinegar (the cafe’s version used a red wine vinaigrette base).
